Ok, first let me pen down some thoughts about the big-bang events that just happened in my life:
My big day on 5 Feb
- The day went by in a whirlwind and I was pretty much in a surreal state where I kind of knew what was happening, but ask me about more details and my mind drew a blank.
- Really glad that everything went well smoothly, and that couldn't have been poss without the help of our families, the brothers and sisters, my dear friend yibs, and wm's buddies.
- The moment when my parents handed me to mr fox could possibly the most memorable one that day. My mum trying to hold back her tears, forcing herself to smile, and my dad's eyes turning red. Will stay forever in my memory.
- Really happy that so many of my friends and colleagues turned up for the banquet, but also a tinge of regret that I did not have time to mingle with them at all. Esp those I haven't met up with for some time. Miss u all.
- mr fox got drunk that night. whoever said the wedding night would be a romantic one was wrong. I'm just glad that he was happily drunk (albeit talking really loudly with his friends in our suite; calling room service for red wine and me having to call again to cancel the order; repeating himself for countless times about how he really appreciate his friendship with the buddies; and KO on the bed right after his friends left the room, thankfully not puking at all), leaving me to remove the countless hairpins from my hair on my own, clearing up the food mess created, before retiring for the night.

mr fox's cousins, who emptied the beer barrel after the guests left. A wacky, fun-loving lot. Two days after our wedding, we boarded the flight to Phuket, looking forward to some quiet moments on our own, and the chance to finally get some rest after the last few hectic months of preparation for our big day.
The resort we stayed at (FOC!) was pretty far away from the famous Patong beach and town area. We pretty much spent most of our time lazing around, and sleeping. A not-happening trip at all, here are the few photos we bothered to take:

The lovely beach view. too bad i cldn't do any seasports. see no touch.- Our first CNY as Mr and Mrs Chia, and it definitely needed some getting used to: preparing ang baos the night before, deciding how much to give (heart pain)
- Took some strategic planning too. My extended family consists of many many many cousins who are married and have many many many many children. We had to leave abruptly during the visit at my grandma's after we realised that our angbaos are running out and the next group of visitors was 70% kids.
- mr fox's extended family (mother side) was really close, and hence we had many nights of visiting, and of course, gambling. It certainly not a year for me to gamble, cos I lost quite a fair bit.
- This is also the first time ever since i started working that I visited my boss's place during CNY. Our new director is really nice and invited all of us to his place (which is new and really gorgeous!). We had a good time chatting, singing (yes, my first time doing a sing-along session during a CNY gathering) and chit-chatting. Love all these bonding sessions.
- Two days ago we had our annual CNY celebration, where the whole office shut down for half a day and all of us gathered at SP's Graduates Guild for lunch and some activities. The theme was "Wu Xia" and it was certainly fun to see most of the colleagues dressed up according to the theme. Will upload the photos once i get them from uncle david. Hilarious!
Ok, that sld be all for now. There're other things happening/happened, but I'm kinda tired from the typing and American Idol is about to begin. All I can say is, it's time to swing back to working mode (yes, gotta work hard and earn $$$ cos all our savings are spent on the wedding), and look forward to the next big-bang event that's scheduled to happen sometime in July.
In the meantime, pray hard hard for me that we succeed in the balloting for our bt merah flat!
